Her April Birchbox

Each month, I look forward to seeing what I get in my Birchbox. I can't wait to see what the theme is and what they have chosen to send me. Here's what I got this month...

This month was all about "tiny tweaks that make BIG Results". Birchbox teamed with Women's Health magazine to choose our items.

LAFCO Fleurs de Baies Bath Soap
Birchbox says: Infused with wild roses, black currants, and raspberry, NY-based LAFCO's lush blend is a world away from ordinary bar soap.
My review: As soon as I opened the box, I could smell this soap - and it smelled good. I haven't used it yet because I usually stick with shower gel but maybe one day.

Kerastase Age Premium Bain Substantif
Birchbox says: Made with UV filters and hyaluronic acid, this action-packed shampoo fortifies hair against damage.
My review: I was disappointed that I got shampoo but no conditioner. It is hard to tell what the shampoo has done for my hair when my own personal conditioner is covering it up. I liked the way my hair felt when I used it, but I wouldn't buy a full-sized bottle (too expensive).

 simple revitalizing Eye Roll-On
Birchbox says: This nifty eye roll-on from Simple Sensitive Skin Experts helps to reduce puffiness and revitalize tired eys by instantly cooling and gently massaging the delicate eye area.
My review: I was so excited about this product because, as the year ends, the stress and chaos runneth over in my world. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I am hopeful.

 Joanna Vargas Daily Serum
Birchbox says: The celebrity facialist packs her brightening serum with vitamins A, E, and C, plus hyaluronic acid. Twist off the cap and use the opposite end to reseal your sample.
My review: I used this product at night and really liked how it made my skin feel. I didn't notice any differences in my skin but perhaps over time I will.

Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick
Launching exclusively in the Birchbox Shop, this user-friendly lip pencil is a quick way to score a high-impact pout.
My review: One word to describe this lipstick - icky! The color turned my lips a purpley-blue and it looked caked on, even when I did the dab and smear technique.

That was my April Birchbox. Overall, I give it two out of five stars because I know I will not be buying any full-size products and I am not even sure that I will finish all the samples.
