We are participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge again this year. The theme for this year is our Favourite Travel Spots in North America. Join us throughout the month of April as we revisit some of our favourite travel spots. No boarding pass, visa or passport needed!
The locations we feature are all places we have visited and the photos are ones taken by myself or Amanda (or possibly one of our family members)
If you missed some our our previous tour stops you can click here to see them
Yesterday we went White Water Rafting. Today we highlight our Xtra long layover on the way home from Australia in 2006. Its a long way to travel straight from Sydney to Virginia so we chose to stop for a couple of days on the West Coast before flying across the country. We had seen most of San Francisco previously so we took a day trip down the Ocean road to Monterey
The scenery was stunning. Hard to get good shots from a bus window |
Australia is just over the horizon (well about 7000 miles) |
We stopped in Monterrey for lunch
Ummm... I don't know if I've been to today's location. I think you forgot to include it, or blogspot messed up.
ReplyDeleteXanadu (Utah), Xenia (Illinois), Xenia (Kansas), Xenia (Ohio), Xenophon (Tennessee)?
ReplyDeleteI love letter X posts! Always such variety.
It's hard to believe the blogging challenge is almost over. Then the after survey, reflections, and the road trip sign-up.
Plus, I'm taking part in the Bout of Books read-a-thon in May. So much excitement!
