I - I is for In Transit

We are participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge again this year. The theme for this year is our Favourite Travel Spots in North America. Join us throughout the month of April as we revisit some of our favourite travel spots. No boarding pass, visa or passport needed!

The locations we feature are all places we have visited and the photos are ones taken by myself or Amanda (or possibly one of our family members)

If you missed some our our previous tour stops you can click here to see them

On Thursday the journey was the focus of the day rather than the destination and today's post will be the same. Today's topic is In Transit. On many journeys you end up having to change modes of transport whether it is changing trains or connecting to another flight, The pictures below showcase some of the airports that  we have stopped at while in transit.

Favourite Airport - Houston International. Its big enough to have everything you could want but not super crowded. Other favourites are San Francisco, Chicago Midway and Nashville
Least Favourite Airport - La Guardia in NY is my least favourite.

LAX - Los Angeles International Airport - Taken in 2001

Inside Vancouver Airport. Taken in 2001

San Francisco Airport. This is usually our gateway to and from Sydney Australia

Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Taken in 2006

The little plane that took us back home from Philadelphia Airport

Some airlines dont rent a gate at Washington Dulles Airport so they have you board a tall bus type vehicle and it takes you straight to the plane where you just step on.

The 747 that took us to Sydney in 2013

Please take a few moments to say hi and leave us a comment as we love to hear from our visitors. Dont forget to leave your blog URL so we can visit you as well.
Have you been to any of today's locations?
What did you post about today?

  1. I have an "International" airport (MFR)just a couple of miles from me (no traffic over my house), and it's the cutest little thing! People tease about it being "International" when it only goes to a few US cities. Anywhere we want to go we usually have to go to Portland, OR first. We are up to 11 destinations now, the furthest all the way to Colorado! It's convenient though.

  2. Haha For a minute there i thought you were talking about ORF (Norfolk VA) as we have an "International Airport" too though it hasnt seen an international flight since 2006 where they had a few from Europe for the 400th Anniversary for Jamestown. I think our furthest destination is also in Colorado though they sometimes go to Vegas & San Diego too.
