We are participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge again this year. The theme for this year is our Favourite Travel Spots in North America. Join us throughout the month of April as we revisit some of our favourite travel spots. No boarding pass, visa or passport needed!
The locations we feature are all places we have visited and the photos are ones taken by myself or Amanda (or possibly one of our family members)
If you missed some our our previous tour stops you can

Yesterday we spent some time at Natural Bridge in Virginia. Today we head north to Ontario. We spent about 36 hour there in the summer of 2018 but boy did we squeeze a lot in. Warning - this is a heavy photo post. I couldnt cut it down any further
Our first stop was Niagara Falls. Its well worth seeing them from the Canadian side. |
You can take a 30 minute boat ride up to the falls. I recommend getting there early to avoid long queues. |
In the summer they have light shows and fireworks. Its fun to see the falls in a rainbow of colours. |
To get to the falls from the hotels you can either climb a steep hill or ride this train. We chose the train as it looked fun and was easier than climbing a big hill |
About 30 minutes from Niagara Falls is the town of Niagara By the Lake. It has a bunch of different shops and eateries. But the main reason we came was for...... |
COWS! Our favourite icecream shop. We learned they had a location here so we had to stop in. |
This is the mouth of the Niagara River. In the background is Lake Ontario. |
We then traveled to Toronto. This is downtown Toronto somewhere near Union Station |
The CN Tower. We didnt have time to go up and take a view from the top. Maybe next time |
Rogers Centre -The home to the Toronto Blue Jay MLB baseball team |
We watched the Blue Jays play the Minnesota Twins. Sadly the Blue Jays lost |
Tim Horton's are everywhere in Canada. We loved their coffee and bakery items. We probably stopped at Timmy's at least 4 times in the time we were in Ontario |
Please take a few moments to say hi and leave us a comment as we love to hear from our visitors. Dont forget to leave your blog URL so we can visit you as well.
Have you been to today's location?
What did you post about today?
Ontario is rather nice. Reminds me a bit of Chicago or St. Louis in all good ways.
