His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 47)

Tuesday!! What's good about Tuesday? It's not Monday. It's also time to play --

The Vintage Modern Wife: Never Ever Ever Link Up

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Amanda will never, ever, ever...
-stop watching HGTV. I love Income Property, Love It or List It, House Hunters Renovation, etc.
This one is my favorites on HGTV!  Source
-stop watching Food Network. I love, love, love The Pioneer Woman and would make everything she makes on her show. I have learned a lot from watching Ina Garten and Giada deLaurentis also. Bobby Flay and Alton Brown are two more of my favorite personalities on the network. I equally love Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Restaurant: Impossible, Restaurant Express, The Great Food Truck Race, and Sweet Genius.
She's my favorite!    Source
-stop loving all manner of competition TV shows. Whether it's Survivor, The Amazing Race, Project Runway, Top Chef, The Biggest Loser, Hell's Kitchen...I love the anxiety of who is going home and the drama of how things will play out during the episode. They are my vacation from life!
I love Top Chef!!!    Source

Sean will never, ever, ever...
-watch regular TV when NetFlix has the title. I enjoy not having to watch commercials so for me it's worth the $8 a month.
Source

-watch the Real Housewives of "insert location here". Watching people scream at each other is not my idea of entertainment.
Source
Amanda's Note: He knows about these shows because I watch RHONJ and OC. He calls them "The Real Housewives of Screaming Town". I think they are hilarious!

-understand the fascination with Duck Dynasty. I watched an episode and quickly discovered it was not the TV show for me.

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 26)

Well hello Tuesday! We love Tuesday around here because it means we can play --

-love any holiday as much as she loves Thanksgiving. The parade, the dog show, the family time, and the food. What's not to love??
Source
-understand the fascination with all-things-flavored-pumpkin. I can eat it in small doses, but it is not a flavor I am as enamored with as it appears others are. Not judging but I would rather have chocolate!
Source
-need a break from school and all the drama going on there as I do right now. One more half day and then I am free for four days. I cannot wait to get away and breathe!
Source
Sean will never, ever, ever...
- Go shopping on "Early Bird Thursday" or "Black Friday"! I hate crowds at the best of times and would rather spend time with my family or the comfort of my warm bed instead of , fighting for the last spot in the car park, standing in line in the cold, windy weather and then rush and find that I just missed out on the one thing I waited outside for hours for.

- Understand why Americans only eat pumpkin products around this time of year. I grew up eating mashed and baked pumpkin all year long and found it weird that pumpkins were only readily available between October and December.

Source - Yummy Baked Pumpkin
- Not look forward to eating fruitcake. It is not a popular dessert in America and is often the subject of jokes but it really is a good dish if prepared properly. I have been lucky and have been able to find a few different bakers locally that make a really good fruit cake and its only available this time of year. One of them is even soaked in Brandy for a few days which gives it a non traditional taste but still very very good.

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 25)

It is Tuesday, so it is time to play --

The Vintage Modern Wife: Never Ever Ever Link Up

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Amanda will never, ever, ever...
-make it through a day without my Keurig. If it died, I would need to replace it immediately. It keeps me going! I am so grateful that we have one at school too. Coffee is good!
Source
-will I like that my good friend lives four hours away. I miss her and her two adorable boys! I wonder if there is time to go see them soon???
Last fall we all went apple picking. This is me and Bennett, my friend's oldest, getting ready to climb the mountain.

-will I understand why we must have so many meetings at work. Right now I am averaging 4 meetings a week - every day last week I had a meeting, except Friday. This coming week I know I have three meetings already scheduled. I just don't understand it!
Source

Sean will never, ever, ever...
- go a day without drinking at least a gallon of water (3.78 litres for the metric folk). I feel dehydrated if I don't drink at least a gallon each day so I do my best to stay well hydrated.
Source
- want to run during the hot summer months as the humidity drains you so quickly. I would much rather bundle up and run through a snow shower than run during the heat of the summer.
Source
- not want to challenge myself with endurance events. I may not be the fastest runner or triathlete but I enjoy being able to challenge myself to run 13.1 miles or compete in a triathlon and do something that a few years ago would never have been possible.

We really like this link-up and we hope that you do too. Head over to Stephanie's website and link-up to join in the fun!

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 24)

It is Tuesday, so it is time to play --

The Vintage Modern Wife: Never Ever Ever Link Up

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Amanda will never ever........
get ahead with her school work. It seems to be a never-ending pile!
Source

stop thinking it is super cool that she knows someone who has been on Jeopardy. (Great Job Kati!!!!! Way to go girl!!!) Kati is a girl we met through our blog and we have linked up with her many times. She is hilarious and sounds really fun. The posts she does about the crazy things her kids say are some of my faves. If you don't follow her, what are you waiting for?
Incorporating Color

understand why some people sit in the left driving lane and do five miles under the speed limit. You are not my pace car so move it over, buddy!
Source

 Sean will never ever............
think that Budweiser is a good beer. It is far too watered down and has no taste. There is much better products on the market and would rather spend a little more on a better tasting beer.
Source
eat grits. Grits are a staple breakfast food in the southern part of the U.S but I simply can't stand them. They look like the stuff you feed to a baby that is being weaned off milk and onto solids. It has absolutely no taste and I am still in awe that people actually eat this stuff and enjoy it.
Source
enjoy the baseball off season. I love to watch baseball and being able to follow the teams throughout the season even though my team is not likely to make the post season anytime soon. During the off season I miss being able to catch a game and I impatiently wait for spring training to begin once again.

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 21)

It's Tuesday!! Why are we so excited? Because it is not Monday!! :) :) It's also time to play --

The Vintage Modern Wife: Never Ever Ever Link Up

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Our theme for this week is household chores.

Amanda will never, ever, ever...
-want to dust. It always messes with me because of my allergies and I get a really bad headache.

-like cleaning bathrooms. I will clean any other room of the house if I don't have to clean the bathrooms.

-love anything more than having a clean house. It is such a good feeling to know that the house is clean and shiny. I love that!!
Source

Sean will never, ever, ever...
- want to be around when someone else is vacuuming. I hate the noise of it going by and would rather do it myself.

- be allowed to wash anything that is not mine in the washing machine. I ruined some of Amanda's clothes some years ago and have been banished from washing anything of Amanda's since.
Who else has done this? - Source
- think that the sink will stay empty for more than 10 minutes. It seems like I wash dishes and then moments later the sink is full once again.

What are your favorite and least favorite household chores?

Happy Cleaning,

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 20)

It's Tuesday and we want to play a game. How about a fun and rousing game of --

The Vintage Modern Wife: Never Ever Ever Link Up

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Our theme for this week is travel. After days and days of rain and craziness at work, getting away is a nice idea right about now. :)

 Amanda will never, ever, ever...
-love packing. I wish there were elves that could do this for me. The whole process is tedious, plus I always leave behind at least one important item.

-be able to pack lightly. Everything + the kitchen sink + a backup sink in case something happens to the first one is my motto.
This is both Sean and Amanda's luggage
-love any city that I travel to more than I love Sydney, Australia. You can read more about that here.
Sydney Harbour at night
 Sean will never, ever, ever...
- Spend more than $100-$150 per night for a hotel room unless absolutely necessary. I still like a decent room but with some flexibility in location and using the right website I have not been unsuccessful yet.

- Love flying long hauls. It is wonderful to be able to travel to any point in the world in around 2 days but being cooped up in an aluminium can with wings for 10+ hours at a time is one of my least favourite things. Perhaps if I could get a seat in business or first class I wouldn't hate it so much.

Our plane from SF to Sydney this summer
- Sit around at a destination and just relax for days on end. I like to immerse myself in the city and do as much as possible. Sometimes I need a few days to recover after I get back because we are so busy.
Vegas strip at night
What are your travel never, evers?

Happy Tuesday,

His and Her Never, Ever, Ever (Week 19)

What a long week it has been already! At least the fact that it is only Tuesday means we get to play --

-understand how my students expect to be successful when they are so lazy!!
Source

-be calm when there is a roach in the house. Ugh - hate those things!!!

-not participate in Spirit Week at school (pics to come on Friday's Happies and Crappies post - loving it!!).

Sean will never, ever, ever...
-understand why the dog is hungry five minutes after eating a full can of food.

-take pasta sauce for lunch - like one of my coworkers did today by accident.

-drink Budweiser. Why would you want to? It's basically watered down yeast.
Source

What will you never, ever do?

Happy Tuesday,
