Today we are linking up with Melinda at West Metro Mommy for Super Saturday Snapshots.
A few months ago we went to go see the giant rubber duck that was on exhibition nearby. The duck looked just like one that you may have had as a child to play with in the bath tub but just a lot lot bigger. It was on display for 10 days and it was a very popular attraction, especially since it was free. Below are some of the photos from our visit.
The duck was massive!

We tried some of the trick photography that we had seen others post on Facebook. Here is Amanda trying to hold up the duck's bill.

Amanda gives the duck two thumbs up!
The Big Yellow Duck travels around the world so maybe it will come to a city near you soon. Have you ever seen the Big Yellow Duck or something similar?
How fun. There was one of these in Sydney last year, but I didn't get to see it.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow rubber duck sure has grown in stature and fame. What an interesting exhibit!
ReplyDeleteAdorable duck! And what a fun exhibition. Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day. I've never seen a yellow duckie that big, but if it ever comes to the Seattle area, I'll go visit it.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I hope he comes to Chicago. The last fun piece of visiting art - and a bit controversial - was the giant Marilyn Monroe statue with her skirt in the air.
ReplyDeleteCute. I love quirky things as you will see in my post today. http://tinyurl.com/n53ugk9
ReplyDeleteFun!!! Just ducky!
ReplyDeleteA fried posted photos of this duck on Facebook, but I haven't seen it in person yet. Fun photos!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun! The duck was down in Pittsburgh awhile ago. About 40 minutes from me but we didn't go. Just watched it on the news. It made a 'big splash' there though!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute. We have a duck race in the River Thames, where thousands of really tiny numbered plastic ducks are released.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really fun. I wonder where the duck is now it's not on display
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Is this something that tours the country?
