to Amanda's sister, Jenn. We hope you have a special and amazing day!
We are still traveling to Australia --- it is such a long journey! Today is the day we refer to as "the day that doesn't exist". When you leave the west coast of the U.S. and travel towards Australia or Asia, you will cross the International Date Line. Once you do, time advances 24 hours. For us that means we crossed the IDL at approximately 3 a.m. this morning. So July 17, 2013 really doesn't exist for us. We jumped from July 17 at 3 a.m. to July 18 at 3 a.m. Creepy and crazy huh?
We will pick this day up when we travel back to the U.S. (but that is another blog for another day).
