We are linking up with Kati and Kate for their weekly GBU - but, we are sorry girls - we have to change this one a little bit. We don't have a "bad" moment from the weekend so, without further ado, here is our GGU (Good, Great, and Ugly)...
Good:
(Sean) I enjoy playing disc golf, but I am still a beginner. I have played with a few friends in the past and have not won a match. This weekend my friend Robert and I played at my local course and after a hard fought match I was able to win by 2 throws. It felt good to finally beat someone!

Great:
(Amanda) I was able to spend time this weekend with my two besties! They are such great people and I love getting to hang out with them. Saturday, Kristin and I went to see Les Miserables. There are not enough words to describe how amazing this movie is. I thought the movie wouldn't be able to top the power of the play and I was wrong. Something about how they brought the camera in so close on the actors as they were performing their emotional scenes - wow! By the end of the movie I was in tears (who am I kidding, I cried for the first time about half way through and then three times after that!). If you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY recommend that you do!

On Sunday, Ronda and I went to see Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the final installment of the Twilight Series. We have seen all of the other movies together so it seemed fitting that we would see this one also. I was not looking forward to this one as much as the others because I did not like this part of the books, but I was so pleasantly surprised by this movie. I thought the way they moved things along (the book is so slow during this part!) and stayed *mostly* true to the book was impressive and appreciated. The ending credits, where they showed the faces of all those actors/characters who were important to all the books/movies, were special. I almost didn't go see the movie in theaters and I would have been sorry about that. It was very well done!

(Sean) Even though I managed to beat Robert on Friday I still had some pretty rotten shots on the course. There are plenty of trees and it seemed that my discs were attracted to them just like a magnet. Hopefully this is just a faze and the next time I head out I can manage to stay on the fairway and away from the trees.
Thanks for visiting and rehashing our weekend events with us. For everyone out there, we hope you have a safe and happy New Year's Eve and an incredible 2013!!
Happy New Year!
So glad there were no bad moments in your weekend - gotta love when that happens!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year (almost)! :)
