Saturday Snapshots - Freedom Tower

Have you liked our "His and Her Hobbies" Facebook page? If not, click here!

Today we are linking up with Melinda at West Metro Mommy for Super Saturday Snapshots.

We took a trip to New York City with my sister and her husband a few weeks ago. Among many other things we got to see the completed World Trade Center building. It truly is a magnificent building and here are just a few photos that we took.

The last time we were in NYC was 2011 and the tower was still under construction.

The finished tower dominates the city skyline

Its so tall it is difficult to get the whole building in one shot.

A close up of the building.

What is the tallest building you have seen in person?

  3. Great photos! I think the tallest building I ever saw in person was the original World Trade Center towers. On further consideration though I have seen the Sears Tower in Chicago and it might be taller. (I hate to say a building that isn't from my home town though)

  5. That is a beautiful building. I was once at the top of the original World Trade Center - many many years ago. I have a picture taken out one of the windows at the lovely views...

  6. Beautiful photographs. I guess the tallest buildings I have seen must also have been in New York. I spent one day there between flights.

  7. Beautiful photos. I think I must have seen the Sear Towers flying into Chicago in 2000. Other than that is was the Empire State Building in NYC in 1964. I was a senior in HS. The tallest building in my home town is 7 stories. "grin"

  8. It was under construction when I was there as well. Nice to see it finished. It's quite a nice looking building.

    1. Hit publish before I answered your question. We saw and went up in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world.
