His and Her Sunday Social (12/8/13)

Sunday Social

**For those who are new to our blog - WELCOME - purple is Amanda, red is Sean, blue is for both of us. We hope it helps make it less confusing for our readers to know who is talking and sharing. :) **

Sunday Social time! Here we go...

1. What is the wallpaper on your cell phone?
It is a picture of the Sydney Opera House that we took this past summer when we were in Australia. It has some of the Harbor and some of the Bridge. I love that spot in Sydney and it is nice to remember being there.
This is not the exact photo on my phone but it is a favorite from this past July.
The finish line at the City2Surf in Sydney, Australia. I worked hard for months to train and run this race and this is a reminder of my achievement.

2. What do you keep beside your bed?
My Nook, a glass of water, my phone because it is my alarm clock, a lamp, and a stuffed panda bear that I have had for a long time.

I also have my nook, my Chicago White Sox lamp and alarm clock. My bedside table is fairly small so this is about all that will fit.

3. What is your least favorite chore?
I HATE cleaning bathrooms!!! Dusting is right up there too because it messes with my allergies and gives me a splitting headache.

Weeding the gardens. It takes forever as they are always tiny and hard to grasp and I also get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Thankfully they don't grow much right now as its colder.

4. If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be?
Work!! Is that an acceptable answer? Probably not. haha I would like to eliminate my commute. I love living where I live and I love working where I work, but it is 35 minutes one way. I need a teleporter so I can go back and forth a lot quicker.

Jobs around the house like cooking, cleaning, preparing for the next day, yard work etc. Its amazing how these little jobs all add up to take a long time each day.

5. What do you do to vent anger?
It's childish I know, but I vent anger by yelling and fussing...usually at Sean who is such a great listener!

I try really hard to forgive and forget but if I get really angry its not pretty and I yell and scream and its best not to be nearby.

6. What is your favorite holiday of the year and why?
I have a tie between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love the family time at Thanksgiving, the parade and the dog show and all the traditions that go with that day. I also love Christmas time - decorating the house, watching the movies/shows, buying special gifts for my family and friends.

Australia day (Jan 26th). Even though I am not living in Australia anymore I like to celebrate it in some small way even though I have to work. Australia day is celebrated the same way July 4th is in America.

    1. Australia is a wonderful place. I hope you get to go there one day. Right now I'm sorry I'm a Sox fan as they stunk worse than the Cubs this year. They can only get better right?
